Chatter of MOM 5k Taking 3rd Place! - A Letter from Jaime Kosinski, GLK Founder

The Minds Over Matter 5K Run is a 3.1 mile road race set in the heart of The Hamptons in the famous whaling village of Sag Harbor, New York. (Captain Ahab from Herman Melville's Moby Dick was actually based on a real Captain from this small quaint town.) As one can expect, this breathtaking course begins upon water’s edge along West Water Street and Long Island Avenue. Runners are then cheered on down Main Street into the historical district where one views the Whaling Museum, Custom House and some of the most spectacular homes in the world built almost 200 years ago. As the race continues runners then enter the beautiful residential area of Redwood. It is here the course climbs heights over-looking the picturesque village harbor and local fisherman out for their morning catch, before finally finishing back at the inlet cove where runners indulge on delicious strawberries, local cookies and breads.
